Safeguarding

Our Commitment to Safeguarding

At our school, the safety and happiness of our children are at the heart of everything we do. We are deeply committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child, and we ask that all our staff and volunteers share this same dedication. We work hard to ensure that our school is a safe, supportive space for our pupils, their families, and our team.

How We Stay Connected and Informed

To make sure we are looking after our students effectively, we use CPOMS, a secure online system that allows staff to communicate quickly and monitor any safeguarding or wellbeing concerns. To keep our standards high, both our staff and Governors receive regular, up-to-date training so we are always prepared to provide the best possible care.

Working Together to Protect Our Children

Your child’s welfare is our top priority. As part of our responsibility, we must take any necessary steps to ensure our pupils are safe.

If we ever have a concern about a child's wellbeing, our first step is almost always to have an open, honest conversation with parents or guardians. We value our partnership with you and believe that working together is usually the best way to support a child.

Please note: In rare circumstances where we feel that speaking with a parent might put a child at further risk, we are required to follow the procedures set out by the Cheshire West and Chester Safeguarding Children Partnership and may contact Children’s Social Care directly.

We Are Here to Help

If you are ever worried about a child’s safety or wellbeing—no matter how small the concern might seem—please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
