Rossmore Pre-School Funded Offer
We operate a pre-school for 38 weeks of the year, excluding bank holidays and staff INSET days, as the pre-school follows the same term dates as the school. We provide early years education for children aged 3 and 4 years and accept both 15 and 30 hours of funded childcare. Additional sessions can be added for a set fee; please refer to our policy for further details.
Funded hours can be used Monday to Friday during term time only, between 8.45am and 3.15pm. We also offer wraparound care for 3 and 4 year olds, operating from 8am to 6pm.
In addition, for up to 48 weeks of the year, we outsource a holiday club, which is currently run by Full of Beans. Further information can be found on our wraparound care page.
In our pre-school we set the firm foundations for children’s development following the Early Years foundation stage statutory guidance. The children are at the centre of everything we do and we value their individual interests. We support our children through daily interactions to ensure they feel happy, safe and secure while equipping them with the skills for their next stage moving into Reception. Continuous provision is very important in pre-school to allow children to learn through play. There are also adult directed activities to support children to learn new skills.
